Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data matters to us. We process personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below we explain which personal data we process when operating this website, for what purposes, and what rights you have.

Controller

The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is:

rubitec ag
Hauptstrasse 8
4431 Bennwil
Switzerland

Phone: +41 61 956 91 91
E-mail: info@rubitec.ch

Principles

We process personal data in good faith, lawfully and proportionately. We collect only the personal data needed for the stated purposes, process it solely for those purposes and keep it only for as long as necessary. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We do not sell your personal data and disclose it only as described in this privacy policy.

Processing when you visit the website (server log files)

Each time this website is accessed, our hosting provider stores data in server log files that your browser transmits automatically:

  • the IP address of the accessing device
  • the date and time of access
  • the name and URL of the file retrieved and the previously visited page (referrer)
  • the browser and operating system used

This processing is technically necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security and prevent misuse. The log files are kept only as long as needed for these purposes and are then deleted or anonymised.

Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, owner René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. The provider processes the website and the associated data on our behalf as a processor and in accordance with our instructions. A data processing agreement is in place with the provider.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not set cookies for analytics or marketing purposes. For individual functions – for example to honour your consent to load the interactive map for the current page view – technically necessary local storage in your browser may be used. This information remains in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

Contact form and getting in touch

If you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the data you provide – first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, subject and your message – to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

To protect against abusive submissions (spam) we use the “Antispam Bee” extension, which checks submissions locally; no external services such as Google reCAPTCHA are used. We keep your enquiry for as long as needed to handle it and to meet any statutory retention obligations.

Job listings and applications

On the careers page we embed the job platform professional.ch (Yousty AG, Switzerland) via a widget. It is loaded only after you explicitly click “Load job listings”. Before that, no connection is made and no data is transmitted to professional.ch.

Once loaded, your IP address is necessarily transmitted to professional.ch; the widget may also set its own cookies and load third-party services (including Google services for audience measurement). professional.ch is the controller for this processing; the privacy policy of professional.ch applies.

Application documents you send us are processed solely to review and handle your application and are treated confidentially.

Interactive map (OpenStreetMap)

An interactive map is embedded in the footer. Without your explicit consent only a locally stored placeholder is shown; no connection to map providers takes place. Only when you click “Load interactive map” are program libraries loaded via the jsDelivr service and map tiles from OpenStreetMap Germany. Your IP address is necessarily transmitted to these providers in the process. Consent applies only to the current page view.

Image film and videos

On individual pages you can play an image film. The video is delivered from our own server and loaded only after a click. No content from third-party video platforms (such as YouTube or Vimeo) is embedded and no data is transmitted to such providers.

Fonts

The fonts used on this website are delivered locally from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or other external font providers.

Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal data only where necessary for the stated purposes, where you have consented or where we are legally required to do so. Processors (such as our hosting provider) process personal data only on our instructions and are contractually bound to comply with data protection.

Transfer of data abroad

Part of the processing – in particular operating the website and the server log files – takes place on the servers of our hosting provider in Germany (EU), which offers an adequate level of data protection. In addition, in the cases described above a further transfer abroad may occur – for example to OpenStreetMap Germany and jsDelivr (EU) when the map is loaded, or to services used by professional.ch, including Google services in the USA. A transfer takes place only where an adequate level of data protection exists or appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place.

Retention period

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations. The data is then deleted or anonymised.

Data security

This website is delivered over an encrypted TLS/SSL connection (recognisable by “https” in the address bar) so that the data transmitted between your browser and our server cannot be read by third parties. We also take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under the applicable data-protection law you have, in particular, the following rights:

  • Access to whether and which personal data we process about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate personal data
  • Erasure of your personal data
  • Restriction of processing and objection to processing
  • Release or portability of data you have provided, in a common electronic format
  • Withdrawal of a consent you have given, with effect for the future

To exercise your rights, a message to info@rubitec.ch is sufficient. To ensure that rights are not exercised by unauthorised persons, we may request proof of your identity.

Right to complain

If you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes data-protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland.

No automated individual decisions

We do not use automated individual decisions or profiling that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may amend this privacy policy at any time to reflect changes in the law or adjustments to our services. The version published on this website at the relevant time applies.
